1) What you did on the bottle.
Since the theme is about Singapore, I thought about the jobs that make Singapore stand out and the people in the community who help to improve the society. I thought that teachers are great influences in many people and help children realise their dreams. They are responsible for the successful people that have been thought what they needed to know to help in the community. I have also heard that Singapore has one of the best education systems. So, I decided to paint a teacher on my bottle.
2) Problems you encountered during the painting.
This was my first time actually painting on a 3-Dimensional object. I painted once before but I had only painted it on a flat piece of paper which I immediately assumed would be a lot more troublesome on a plastic bottle. It was hard to find the exact colour I wanted for my character. I ended up painting on the skin and the outfit of my character with a lot of layers of paint, trying to match the correct colour. I also had trouble painting with the type of brush I used. My smallest brush was still too big to paint details on the bottle. That was why I didn't have that much of an interesting design on the bottle.
3) What did you think can be improved on the bottle based on friends' suggestion/personal experience etc.?
Some have told me to not base my design on just colour and improve on my design a bit more. I thought they were right and I want to improve on them as much as possible on my ideas from now on.
4) What you might want to try if you were to paint the bottle again?
I have heard from a lot of people some techniques so that I could paint a bottle easier and some of them were on the internet. I also wish that I could have added some other items on my bottle like adding a piece of paper on it for arms and some beads for eyes so that it looks more appealing and less boring and plain.
